In the heart of Europe

The Czech Republic is the country in the heart of Europe. For centuries, cultural inspiration has gathered in the country and has left profound traces.

A mix of modern times and old traditions makes the Czech Republic a true Mecca to families who wish to lean on modern adventures but who are also fascinated by the past.

At first glance, you can experience a country which in many ways resembles Denmark but soon you will discover that you do not need to look long for historical footprints, cultural offers and fascinating nature adventures which are entirely unique for the country.

Prague is without a doubt worthy of a visit. The city has 1.3 million inhabitants and in 2000, it was chosen as the Cultural Capital of the European Union. Prague is the epitome of all the cultural offers of which you can think - and quite more.

The national language is Czech and in the larger cities it is principally unproblematic to use English.

The society is democratic and religion only plays a minor role as 6 million inhabitants are atheists while only 32 % of the inhabitants are believers, of which Catholicism is the most widespread with 27 % followers. This makes the Czech Republic the least believing country in Europe.

The Czech Republic is about 1.5 times bigger than Denmark, while the inhabitants constitute 10.2 million.

The country is characterised by a versatile nature with hot springs and a rich nature which can be eternally admired and the many rivers and the varied mountain landscape invites you to find your hiking boots and have your camera ready at hand once the nature unfolds its beauty before your eyes.
